Saturday, April 12th sew-in

Post by mequilter9158 » Sat Apr 12, 2008 7:07 am

We might as well get an early start for this today. The snow is blowing outside & it's really windy. So, might as well be sewing down here and trying to keep warm. Going to start on a Bazooples baby quilt this afternoon for a neighbor. What are you working on?

It is 75* here where I am. The sun is shinging and I made 21 6 1/2" blocks this morning. They are red white and blue, Trying to make a dent in my patriotic fabric. The sun is shining and I feel sorry for those folks in Minnesota that are without power and dealing with all that snow. Marge

Hi Marge.......what pattern are you using for the blocks? I bet they'll be beautiful. The sun is trying to come out here, hopefully it'll melt today's snowfall. Minnesota was really getting most of the storm yesterday & today. Wonder how MaryQ is doing?

Hello & Happy Saturday ladies. Hope all is well and enjoying the day. It is windy but sunny here today. In the mid 60's.

I am going to handsew the binding on the back of 1 twin's quilt, machine sew the binding on the front of other twin's quilt and on a Qu. sz quilt. I will get them all hand sewn to the back by tomorrow evening I hope. I don't mind doing this but I have so many other iron's in the fire right now. LOL I will pop back in and see who is doing what. I hope you all have a great afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hugs & Love

Yes, Marge what pattern are you doing? I love red/white/blue blocks.

Hi Everyone!
Yesterday I finished the May Lotto Blocks so I need to cut the Bow Tie Blocks today. The weather here is windy, but quite warm. It is 11:30 and already 87. That was the predicted temperature for where I live. I think it will be a record breaker.

Hi Quilter7. If it is already that warm where you are, how hot will the Summer temps be? That sure seems warm for this time of year. You are in Calif. right? Hope yall do not have to deal with wild fires again this year! Sounds like you are having a very productive day!

Well, mequilter, it's nice to know I'm not alone... It dumped snow here the other day and dashed a little around yesterday. Today the sun is shining and it's probably about 40-45, hopefully we'll get more melting. I'm trying to get inspired to quilt my best friends birthday wall hanging (that was a month ago) but I just want to go work in that GARDEN!!! Oh well, I'm just finding it so hard to sit in the sewing room when the days are so long and sunny, even though there is so much darn SNOW!

I always knew Minnesota and WI were just as bad if not worse than AK, here's the proof! hehe.
