Hi Judy,

Some of the nicest examples I have seen of this type of quilt are done with large florals. The results are fabulous. I bought this fish fabric as a backing for a quilt but ended up not using it. So I donated it to this experiment:) I have some nice Christmas florals I want to try it with.

Here is a link to some examples:

Very Interesting. I really like how they turned out. Cant waite to see your finished quilt. Looks like they would make a fun umbrella.
Keep us posted I am interested in seeing them finished.
Thanks. Lowell;)

Very nice! It's amazing what some of you are able to do with a piece of yardage!

The fabric is very cool to just look at when you first laid it out but then when you put the pieces all together it just popped! It will be fantastic when you finish. I can't wait to see pictures of the completed project. Debi

I have that book also but haven't taken the time to sit down and read through it. It's amazing how the same fabric can look so different cut up like that. I especially like the gradient quilts that are in the book.

Very nice and can't wait to see what/how you connect them. I think that is where I got a little lost while reading the book.

Have Fun,

Your quilt will be wonderful with that great fabric. I just re-posted the stack and whack method some of commented on last September...looks like it is very much the same. Oasis put some good links on the posting and I believe Inka did also.....tutorials all can enjoy.
