How lucky your DH, John, was there when the home health nurse came to see your FIL. Sometimes it is better to have another set of ears to listen to what the professionals say. I know whenever my Mom has been sick we try to stay in close contact with the nurses and Doctors. Of course my Mom doesn't always tell us everything and maybe your FIL isn't like that.

I am glad my husband was there too. His Mom is 87 and although she is fine having the reassurance of my husband is great. They are both really open about things but when you are stressed things do get missed. I am glad they live only 3 exits down the Garden Grove fwy from us and my BIL lives only 5 blocks from us..so we are close

Carin - Sleep well! Good Night!

Carolyn - You are indeed fortunate that everyone is so close. My mother is an hours drive down in Laguna Woods. Luckily I have a brother within 10 minutes of her and one of my sisters is only 30 minutes away. It can get very complicated when parents are old and sick.

On another note I see that you could not resist the CW Swap. I am resisting by planning one on EQ6. LOL I figure I could make one block a week on my own and then I would have lots of practice and it would truly be my sampler. The web sites for fabrics are wonderful! I really am enjoying being on the forum.
