When read the post that said to the north (of PA) in a favorite place I wondered if it was me. I knew I was north but not sure about being famous. I have lived in Watkins Glen my entire life and really don't think much of all of it till someone mentions it or when the race crowds are in town.
Tuesday the local man that brought racing to Watkins Glen in the 40's passed away. He was a pillar in the town and everyone knew him or at least his name. From what I am reading, he will be/is famous and will go down in the history books of racing. Born, raised and remained in Watkins Glen as an attorney all his life, too.
So now I know it WAS me you were hinting at!

Ok..my secret pal gift is finally on it's way north. I apologize profusely in advance for how late it is! I bought it weeks ago, but the DH is in preparation for his Iraq tour and getting the car from him has proven difficult! LOL. Hope she likes it!

Boy was I suprised when I picked up my mail and the was a package for me from Austraila! It was from Aussie Wendy. She sent me a wonderful
quilting magazine with a gardening DVD and some fabric with local birds from Queensland. I am going to make something really special with that fabric. Thank you Wendy!
