this really does make a great quilt - and there are so many possiblities - lol - i did restoration work on bow ties about 18 months ago - i have never seen so many bow ties in my life - all hand pieced - some were made from clothes, many had been made from something that was something before you could see the needle and thread marks it is always amazing to me how thrifty our foremothers were - i always feel a connection - anyway it was one of the most memorable bowties i had seen before

That old quilt sounds like one of my grandmothers. She never actually quilted only pieced. I think she may have tied the quilts, but she pieced the pieces. I have one of hers and it is in tatters! I need to sit down and see if I can salvage anything. It is a four patch.

Received a big box today with 2 sets of 12 Flowers and two sets of 9 Red White and Blue Mini Bow Ties from Brenda (Abbigail). They all look fabulous!!! Thank you for the gifts, it was a surprise. And oh the CWs are beautiful.
