watch for sales on computers, especially this summer for back to school. My new laptop after all the discounts was only $399. There is enough memory for my digital photos and programs I use. I back-up and use an external hard drive so I can use my multiple computers (shh I have a Mac, a PC and 2 lap tops) With external hard drives you can get a less expensive lap top to dedicate to your machine.
If you have a college student in your life the deals they offer through college bookstores can be amazing
