SSJ-----We all fell in love with you, your quilts, recipes and your questions. While answering your questions I (and probably others) have learned something new also. I would never have tried some of the things I've been doing without the combined knowledge of everyone here on the forum. Someone mentioned your talent for putting colors together and you do a wonderful job.

I understand your need to drop back a little, I'm trying to do the same thing at this time. I need to get my "spring cleaning" done then I can jump back in and join the swaps (just in time for us all to begin our Christmas projects!LOL). However, I learn so much from everyone by being in the swaps.

Please keep posting though, we like your input on the different subjects.
Have Fun,
Linda S / OASIS

oh dear sweet sarah dont put yourself down - we all make mistakes lots of them for me - it is part of learning and part of quilting - some people say that mistakes are really design opportunities - we all love you and your quilts

Sarah, you are doing so good for just beginning! There is a lot to learn and everyone here is still learning. I have learned lots of things and have gone out of my comfort zone in doing some of these swaps so it's a good way to build our skills. I understand wanting to slow down a bit-I have felt that I've gotten over my head with all the swaps I've signed up for too. My sister has a learning disability also so I really understand the difficulty in trying to grasp new things-but you are really doing outstanding! You should be very proud of yourself. I have really appreciated the photos you have posted to help the rest of us learn new things-like the index card trick. Thanks so much for all of your help! All of us can have trouble learning new things and sometimes seeing it demonstrated is the best thing. You are a great teacher. :) That's what I really like about this forum-we are all students and we are all teachers.

Sarah, don't be putting yourself down girl! You are so eager to learn quilting that I believe you brought us a breathe of spring air to the forums! The first time I tried to piece a quilt I thought "this is easy!". LOL! I didn't KNOW the pieces were supposed to line up! You wouldn't believe the mess I made of that quilt. But to me it was beautiful! I didn't care that it wasn't anywhere near perfect, it was something I had made! We all have to start somewhere to get anywhere! Love you girl! ~Abbigail~

SarahJane - I wish more people would be as up front and honest, and half as hardworking as you are. You have already made a number of quilts that you have shared with us, and you are a talented woman. With a great sense of humor, and bright and friendly, too.

I always look forward to reading your posts--they are chock full of your bubbly personality.
