Post by ollie1shoe »

never seems that i have the right fabrics as i look a little closer i have way to much with obvious designs are flowers etc. i never end up with solid colors are tone on tone or batiks so anyway to go about correcting this i really need to use some of the stuff ive got before i buy a whole lot more any suggestions???

Gee, we would be great together; because I am just the opposite LOL.
Sorry to say; but you won't use alot of what you have til you get some of the other fabs to work with them. That is what I find, anyways.
Maybe just 5" floral squares with sashing would be pretty. Could make it any size you want.

Mamaw has a point. Just get enough plain fabric for sashing and make any size squares out of your pretty stuff.

Ollie, time to SHOP! lol I would be inclined to take the florals to the store...see if you can find some coordinating "tone on tone" fabrics, you know, the "solids but not" type fabrics.

Some of those florals would most likely be real pretty in QIAD's Country Lanes pattern...fast and easy! Or the Summer Porch, with different florals peeking out between the rails of a tone on tone neutral to tie them all together...? Or in a Courthouse Steps...?

Heck, just come on over to my house, bring the fabric, and we'll have coffee and Girl Scout cookies and figure this out!
