I haven't started mine yet. I want to work on them this weekend. That will be my main goal for this weekend.

Ann - I'm getting ready to start these this weekend. Okay, I thought I read we are using a muslin foundation for these. I was planning on using the patterns you mailed me and paper piece. Is this what I am suppose to do with your patterns?

The patterns were for those that did not know where to get started on their blocks. The pattern was to be traced onto the fabric foundation and then place your fabric on top according to the instructions in the site I posted.

I do not paper piece crazy quilt blocks because when doing embellishments or decrotive embroidery the blocks may become distorted because so many pieces are done on the bias.

Are we still doing 20 since only 14 are signed up? I spent most of Saturday and whatever I could get yesterday (being thatit was Mother's Day) working on them and I only have 12 sewn, but not embroidered. These are taking much longer than I thought they would! I figure by the time I get home from work each night, I should have them done by the end of the week. For a "scrappy" project, it sure takes more time than the piecing I've been doing.

We were doing 20 and getting back 20, you still have a couple of weeks to work on them. Are you doing hand or machine embroidery? You do not have to embroider every single seam and embellishments are optional. If you are planning on doing hand embroidery then I would just get the blocks finished and see if you have time to embroider. Some participants, I think, are not doing any decorative stitching.

I worked on these again last night. I have 15 sewn together, just need to do 5 more then I'll work on the embroidery. With my old machine, I was thinking I would do each stitch on all blocks then change the stitch and go through the pile again. --sorta like chaining them.

Jan, that's sorta what I'm doing with mine. Also, I'm changing thread color as I go. I need to get back to them again. I had put them away to do other things, but I need to get them back out again.
