TX Star in red & white - lady selling

Post by cindyg » Mon Mar 10, 2008 2:53 pm

Pictures below are of a quilt my friends mother got at an auction and she would like to sell it. It is hand pieced and quilted. It was made in the'30s or '40s. It has stains on the back. I'm not sure if she tried to get them out or not. It fit on the top of a king size bed, would drape over the sides of a full bed. She would sell it for $250. I know some of you go to estate sales and buy quilts and tops. PM me if interested.

Very pretty, but outside of my budget.

That sure is a pretty quilt, and think of all the work that went in it. I hope it finds a good home.

It is very pretty. I wish I had that sort of budget.

I looked at the lady's e.mail again - they took this quilt to a quilt shop and found out that it was made in the 20's or 30's or earlier.
