Will hang around a bit longer on the forum. DH is watching "On Golden Pond" and I don't feel like watching a movie about a dysfunctional family...another <sigh>...

We like to leave the dog hair from the brush outside for the birds to make nests. She's half Chow Chow so she has that THICK outer coat and sheds like mad!

Hey, at least there is no risk of disease transmission with using human hair--! There was some show on the other night, the narrator was talking about handling semen, and there were the lab techs handling and testing it *bare handed*. I sat there in utter shock and finally poked my husband and said, "Where are their GLOVES?? Why aren't they wearing GLOVES?!" Turns out they were processing *pig semen*; pigs don't carry HIV...but I would have worn gloves anyway! EEEEEeeeeeee....

Goodnight GQ :) Sleep well....

The thing with hair is that it wouldn't really break down in one season. It would possibly help to lighten a heavy soil, but I'm skeptical that it would be very effective.

Ack...it's seven o'clock...need to go coax youngest out of her bubble bath and remind the eldest to get her jammies on...

Youngest is sick, feverish and coughing. Had me and DH up around 0300 needing her inhaler and a move to the couch to be better propped up. The sleep interruption did not help my attitude today and I completely hate it when one of my babies is sick. Just makes me wanna cry to see the pale little faces and the glassy eyes. I will dose her with some Motrin for fever and something for the cough; hopefully she will sleep better tonight.

Weh, weh, weh, weh,
Carole
