Lori, I would go with blue sashing & yellow intersections. I think that's what I'll do with mine when I'll receive them. :-)

Personally, I love a scrappier look, so when I made a baby quilt of Sues and Sams, I put a row of strips around each block. 4 different colors. When I put the blocks together, there were lots of colors for a baby to see and it separated each block so you could see better, each individually. (I made sure I didn't have 2 blue strips together, so I still had to lay it out before adding the strips.)Then I took my scraps and made prairie points. To quilt it, I didn't want to mess up the girls and boys, so I stitched between the rows of sashings and around each block. I'll have to get ahold of the girl that got that quilt and see if she won't take a photo of it and post it on here for you to see. She's good at that sort of thing.
The worst thing about it though... it was so cute she wouldn't use it much. She said she's saving it for Sam... lol. She named her baby Sam since one of the blocks was Sue with a valentine addressed to Sam.

Speaking of prairie points. Do you all know how to figure how many it will take for your quilt?

I have a daisy on my toe
it is not real it does not grow
its a tatoo of a flower

its on the second toe of my left foot
a stem and flower but not a root

cause it wouldnt look good

ok now everyone sing lol once we get that one down we can do gray squirrel and make somores - what say you

i bet the baby quilt was adorable - the last time i did prairie points i just started making - i bet there is a formula - evie is usually pretty good with having formulas on hand - does anyone else have it

oh GQ Daisy on my Toe is one of my favorite camp songs!! Did mine teach you this one?

Alive Alert Awake
(to the tune of "If You're Happy and You Know It")

I'm alive, alert, awake, enthusiastic
I'm alive, alert, awake, enthusiastic
I'm alive, alert, awake,
I'm awake, alert, alive,
I'm alive, alert, awake, enthusiastic!

Actions:
Alive: hands on your head
Alert: hands on shoulders
Awake: cross arms over chest
Enthu-: hands on thighs
-si-: clap
-astic: snap with both hands

Repeat the song a number of times, getting faster as you go!
