Re: Fri., Feb. 8th Sew-In !
Hey everybody! It's coming up on the dinner hour here; DH just called to let me know he's running a bit late, but if he's not here by 5:30 to just start eating. I am HUNGRY so may shave 10 minutes off that--!
May be able to pop in between dinner and kids' bedtime of 7:30 or 8pm, then put girlies to bed...then the evening is MINE!
So ARE WE SEWING TONIGHT?! I can have a splash of coffee and maybe stay up until ten (Pacific Time). I put together the blocks from the fall swap today, the first border is on, but I'd LOVE to be able to get the second one on...and maybe get it layered--? Oh, dream on!
Gotta go check to see what's boiling over on the stove!

Hi, Fran! I missed your post! I'm sitting here at a TV tray eating Mexican food trying not to get enchilada on the keyboard! LOL! You can't take me anywhere, I am always dripping food on the front of my blouse. Leetec, the hot choc and cinnamon toast will come later tonight for dessert! LOL!

just popping on to say hi..
My daughters both had favorite blankies, which are still in their rooms. Izzy had a crocheted blanket that my mom made for her. When she started dragging it all over and tripping My Mom used her left over yarn and made a small blankie...it went everywhere with her
Julia never got attached to the crocheted afghans she latched on to a small quilt my Mom made. She named it "Need Need" (because she needed it to go to sleep)Need Need traveled to camp at the bottom of sleeping bags, to Europe and was stashed in the suitcase for her 1st overnight at college. Now it is the first thing she grabs when she comes home, a well patched, well loved "Need Need"

I wish there was anything I could do for you.
It can be tough when we get older and having to go through the pains of loosing our parents.

You and you dad are in my thoughts and prayers, GP. You mean so much to me, I hate to think that you're going through a rough time. Lots of {{{{HUGS}}}}.
I think it's great when we can keep some of the precious things from our kid's childhoods. Sometimes I think it means more to us then to them. But when you bring the things out, their faces light up! When I showed DD the blanket binding, she knew exactly what it was. She said I was nuts for keeping it,and I'm sure I was, but I think she was happy that I did.

Hi there carolyn, that sounds awefully nice to go into the jacuzi, and get yourself all pampered up.
