My kids all have crocheted blankets from me (that's what I did when they were young). Now, they all want quilts. They are all grown, so they are much better about waiting their turn. I am not the fastest quilter by any means, but they will eventually each get there own! That's the plan and I'm sticking to it!

That's for sure! My kids all have at least two quilts that I've made. And since they all have king-sized beds it takes a while. Some of the quilts I've made them are smaller. That way it's easier to travel with them.

I still have my oldest son's "blankie", it's not a blankie, it's a stuffed hand-made clown called Chester, but he always called him "Chedda". That thing has been repaired so many times it's threadbare, and I finally took all the stuffing out of ole Chedda and put him in one of those dimensional scrapbook pages that's about a 1/2" deep. I was afraid to re-stuff Chedda even one more time or he'd blow! LOL! Youngest son had a traditonal blankie he loved, it was a light blue baby afghan my mother made for him and I still have it, too. But one thing I kept for both my boys is their Star Wars sheet sets. Oh my gosh, they were so into those Star Wars toys and everything, I'd like to make a quilt for each of them with some of the sheet fabric in it, and some pics of them with their Star Wars toys and dressed up like Luke and Darth Vader! LOL!
Lee, thanks for asking about my dad. He isn't doing very well, bless his heart. His neurologist told us he's in the advanced stages now and it's been pretty hard to cope with that. Visiting him is really heartbreaking most of the time now and most of those moments I tried so hard to seize...seem to be very very few and far between. Please pray for me to have courage thru this because I'm finding I have far less than I'd like to have. I'm just going to quilt my way thru, I don't know what else to do. Gosh, sorry, didn't mean to be negative, but thank you for asking, it means a lot.
