Comfort Quilts Photos

Post by justdawne » Wed Feb 06, 2008 7:48 am

Hello all,
I think I've figured out how to get photos here at the forum. Would like to share 2 quilts. One made specifically for a man who lost his kids in a house fire.

Many of you may have heard about this quilt before. This is the top ready to go to the longarmer.

This next photo is made from orphan blocks collected through this forum. Petlover sent these matching blocks, I believe they are called shoofly blocks. My friend Lorraine added the blue snowball blocks and the borders.

I am very pleased with the result :)

Dawne those are both lovely! Your friend Lorraine (love that name by the way) did a wonderful job with the blocks. Encourage her to join us here :)

I Love them both, Thanks for sharing! What a good idea to hang your quilts on a clothesline when taking pictures! My husband will hold them up for me but sometimes his arms are not long enough! I don't have a clothesline but I'm sure someone in my neighborhood must.

Dawne, The quilts are beautiful!!! I really love the first one and I pray it brings him some comfort. It really is a good idea to hand them on the clothesline for pictures! Thanks for sharing these..
