Fan Fare Log Cabin - Lodad

Hey Lodad, I just looked up the fan fare log cabin pattern - I like it alot. Is it paper pieced? I've started a twisted log cabin that is paper pieced with 6" blocks and am a little daunted by how small the begining pieces are. It looks like it will be a little tedious to build the blocks. How big are your log cabin blocks?
