sunsup, LOL, I'm taking the class called "Fractal fragments", and I have no clue what a fractal is

It starts tomorrow, and I just felt like jumping into (for me) completely unchartered territory and learn something completely new. It seems most people who do "fractal quilts" are doing art quilts, and I don't really see myself doing one of those - I love looking at them but have no urge to produce them - but I wanted to take a design class rather than a technique class, so it sounded fun!

There are some amazing things out there, though. Look at these for example:

SewSew, maybe she too should sign up The class doesn't start until tomorrow...

Maria, right now she is going to high school, college and just started working part-time so I think she is too busy to really take time on another class right now.

I hope they offer it at some other time, maybe I will sign up for it and then can teach her how to do it later.

Oh my gosh, Maria. I just checked out that sight. I wouldn't dream of attempting it. But then you have your new super machine so I know you'll do fine. Have fun!

sunsup, well, I too wouldn't dream of trying that! And, irrespective of the machine, the hard part would really be to come up with the design in the first place...

As for UFOs... I tried to order more fabric for my top two UFOs, but it turned out that I was not the only one being short of these fabrics. Also the place where I ordered it was out of stock, but thought they would get new bolts in a couple of weeks.

So, no new UFO progress in sight for me the next few weeks (apart from finishing the binding on my current UFO, which will be done towards the end of this week

Saturday I took my red, white & blue rail fence over to a friend's house and quilted it on her Little Gracie setup. It's not bad, but not great either. But I think I'm just going to call it good and bind it. It's my 'picnic' quilt to take to the park. I'll work on the binding this week and then try to get a picture posted.

Yippeeeeeee - I am eventually ALL DONE with my worst ever UFO!!!

It is in the washing machine as we speak, and now I'm just worried that it'll come out of there discolored or disformed or destroyed in one way or the other... In any case, pics will posted very soon in the photo section

I have a feeling that the "UF" in UFO is "unfinished". I have saved every little extra bit and piece of fabric from quilts done years ago. I'm contracting here to begin sewing them together (perhaps one after another without patterns)!
