Can I join?
Last night I counted in my head 9 projects that are all in various stages. I just took a YBR quilt to be quilted so I am happy that is done (except binding). I don't know which one to start next. Does buying the fabric with a project in mind and letting it sit there count as a UFO? Or is that just my stash? :)

Lynns, I would say that it is part of your stash, I don't count anything as a ufo until I actually cut something out. If I counted projects in mind it would really be embarassing.LOL

Hi. I am new to this Forum but I think I belong to the UFO group if I understand what UFO means. I have finally finished a log cabin quilt I started at least 10 years ago and it is at the long arm quilter's hopefully to be finished by the end of the month. My next accomplishment was to finish the top to a triple Irish chain quilt I started in mid-1970's. It is all hand pieced and it is beautiful. I thought I would hand quilt it but I have not the first idea of how to go about it or least I am putting it off. I have about 6 other quilts and projects in the works not to mention several sweaters I am knitting. I am determined to get some of these projects finished before starting anything else but I just bought some of the most beautiful fabric for another triple Irish chain. I also have 2 bug jar quilts in the works which I have put aside until I receive some additional bug fabric which I ordered. I am a fabriholic and cannot resist a fabric sale! So many quilts, so little time. Pat

Hi Pat and welcome. Yep, you fit right in here.LOL

You probably guessed UFO is an unfinished object. I don't have too many, but that is because I'm on a fixed income. I do have at least 3 WIMs (works in mind, the fabric and pattern are just sitting waiting) Good luck and have fun.

Pat,
OOOO! There are several quilters who just participated in the I Spy swap that have written an interest in making bug jar quilts. Including myself. I am going to do an I Spy quilt for my niece whose birthday is coming up in August, then one for my son. Then I'll tackle a jar quilt. I want to put the fruit and veggie fabric in it. There is a new line of fabric at the lqs that is really colorful.

Isn't it a nice feeling to drop off a quilt at the lqs and know that all you have to do is wait and "voila!" it's done?

Our shop offers lessons on the LA and then you can rent them out for the day and go there and quilt your own.

I began cutting fabric yesterday for the first I Spy quilt. I'm thinking of it as a work in progress. Once I stop and start something else it'll be a UFO.

Trying to push myself to finish the binding on my latest UFO. It's been 2 1/2 years in the making but almost there now!

Finally finished quilting my "house quilt", now I have to attach the binding. I was watching El's video on how to make a mitered binding and I think I will have to watch it at least once more and then try a test piece to make sure I do it right. I will post a picture when I am done. Now I have to decide which ufo to tackle next.

Hi Pat! Sounds like the UFO Support Group has a new and worthy member--lol! Welcome--this is such a great place!

And LynnS, OF COURSE you can join, silly girl! We don't exclude anyone on the basis of anything...I think we all have at least one or two UFOs that we could use some encouragement to finish!
