Sat. Jan. 26th Sew-In !
It's only 4:49 p.m. here, but I thought I'd start tonight's Sew-In. I'm going to be here about 7:00 and will join ya'll then. I'm about to go start a new project since I'm here at the cabin and everything I needed for it was already up here, didn't have to transport anything! I'm doing a Fun & Done quilt-as-you-go lap quilt tonight. It's similar to the strip stockings and you bring the backing around to the front for each block. And when you're finished piecing...it's all quilted and done. I'm going to use a decorative stitch like a feather stitch to sew the folded backing edges together on the front. So, I'm off to get it cut out and ready for tonight! See ya'll later when the party starts! Toodles........

That sounds like fun GP. Do you have a pattern or are you winging it?
Hope you all have a great time tonight, I will drop by if I can. My hubby will be home tonight and he has been gone for almost a week, so I probably should visit with him.

YoooHoooo Peach Pit, where ARE you?
I just moved my lap top to my quilt room.
Maybe it'll inspire me how to go about this project.

I wish SewCarolyne was here. I could 'bounce' some idea's off of her LOL.
I was thinking to turn mu machine like they have it on a LA. Raise my table, and instead of moving the machine as they do with a LA, to move my fabric.
main idea here is that i might have a better field of vision to be standing when my table is raised, and be less limited by my motion as you do sitting vs standing.
Am I making any sense here?

I want to free motion quilt the borders of a nice quilt I've made.
