Re: My first Flying Geese....
Mawmum, I used the 4 X 8 ruler to make it and just pretty much followed the directions in the Flying Geese book.
ranchlife4me....yes, I am going to keep this one! It was my first really big quilt!
My next project is to make some pinwheels with El's triangle square-up ruler....I think a baby quilt this time! LOL

Congrats Susie! You did an awesome job. I HATE flying geese.. no matter which method I use, El's or anyone elses, I always manage to either cut off the points or they are too deep. I am to the point where I avoid any quilt pattern that has them. Hats off to you!

I love it, I was never really fond of the pattern but yours is so pretty and love the colors.. you did a great job. beautiful I think it is the prettiest one I have ever seen. I just might try to make one some day if it turned out as pretty as yours.

Very nice -- the colors go well together. Haven't had the nerve to do that yet, still on squares and strips!!

Very pretty and I love the "scrappy look" of your quilt.

Love Love Love your Flying Geese. After looking at some of yalls Geese and hearing how easy El's rulers are, I am going to have to get mine out and give it a whirl. I love this in the scrappy look. Great way to use up some scraps too. Nice job Susie!!!!!!!!!!

Susie,
I really like it. I've just learned to do flying geese b/c I was able to buy El's ruler. Great job, really fabulous.
Cathy,
I highly recommend getting El's ruler. If I can do it - anyone can.
