How to end the year in style....

Post by CindyB » Mon Dec 31, 2007 3:37 pm

Lifeisgrand (Marcia) and I met today in Ames, IA for an afternoon of fun!

First, we were both late! LOL - I got a little bit of a late start, because I wanted to take my camera, which DH had taking pictures of the beautiful winter landscapes - and how did I think I was going to get 60 miles in an hour and get gas and go to the grocery store, I'll never figure out (groceries waited until the trip home - which was for the best anyways!) With holiday traffic, I got to Ames about 25 minutes late...

Here's Marcia:

And a huge quilt top she made from a scrap bag she bought dirt cheap at a sale:

Here is a beautiful wall hanging she also made and brought to show me. I love the little Christmas trees in the center!

Here we are together:

And one of me, with the fabric we picked out for my BabyLock quilt block entry:

Love 'meeting' both of you!! I admire both of you - for your kind efforts on behalf of the soldiers in the hospital in Germany - for your undertaking of the Ark-angels project. You are both wonderful credits to this forum, and it is nice to see your pictures!

Really looks like you've had a nice day!!

*Fun*!!! Much more - but not if I want to go to Paducah (and spring break with DD in Puerto Rico before that)!

This was my last big shopping trip until Paducah...

But not in the quantities I did today!!

I was on a hunt for FAIRY FROST! And I found it - didn't I Marcia!!!

LOL - they had it in with the color family it belonged with, not together in a "Fairy Frost" section!!! What fun that was... the gals at the store were holding some for me, some (silver) I got on sale, and I found some VERY cool colors - blue and yellow - who would have guessed that I would pick those!!! LOL!!!
