LabbieMom - what a fantastic job you have done! I admire your courage to slash so many beautiful fabrics and believe, something even more beautiful will come out of them! How many have you used? And - am I right the technique was braids of different widths?

LabbieMom-- those colors are amazing. I have this pattern, but haven't had the nerve to do it yet.... yours turned out beautifully.

Wow, thanks for all the compliments!!!

Littlebit, I am indeed new to this forum. It's funny, before I was searching the web for other quick quarters and I didnt find any, last night I was reading a quilting magazine and saw the website and thought- I HAVE to go there!!

For anyone thinking of doing this- GO FOR IT! It does require that you stay focused. So oddly enough the 12-12 quilt class I signed up for was harder than being at home alone. They system Elenor has created is clear, I did make a few mistakes, but was able to fix them. I loved that I didnt have to truly match corners or points on this.
There are 24 fabrics, cut into 4" strips and sewn together- creating a loop. Then you cut the specified amount of different widths- like 4 2" wide loops, etc. There are 3 or 4 different widths.

I will say it's a bit of mystery as to how the quilt will truly turn out, but I knew I grouped the fabrics decently and trusted the process.

Im so thrilled to "meet" some other quilting people to "show" it to.

The quilters returned it to me and suggested I think about showing it. I have never shown anything- does it matter what show? How long do they have it?
