Machine Quilting Thread:
Where can I find the Aurifil thread? Is it good for machine quilting/piecing? I am tired of the Coats & Clark on my sewing machine. Appreciate all advice and tips.

I have purchased Aurifil at a LQS & at the Chicago show. I love it in my bobbin. I think it would be just fine for piecing

Caren,
Why do you use l type of thread in your bobbin & another type on the top when sewing a quilt?

All of my LQS carry it in many colors. I swear by it. I use it in the bobbon and the top.

I've used Aurifil for a long time to piece with! It's great. I've bought it on line in the large cone and it is more money upfront but more economical.
I've also bought the connecting threads thread and it is very nice too and less than 2 bucks for a spool.

Hi Grammy2,
I like the Aurifil in my bobbin because it's a fine, virtually lint free thread. I have found it to be wonderful when I'm using fine thread in my needle, like mono.
