I have a pattern that I find very easy - pillowcases for dummies!!!

Pillowcases with no exposed seams!!

3/4 yard for body
2" strip for accent
11" strip for cuff

For travel size pillowcase: 15x26 for body; 2x26 for the accent; and 8x26 for the cuff.

Do not prewash fabric

Fold the 2" strip in half, wrong sides together, and press.

Now, this section will sound crazy; just follow the instructions very literally until you reach the ***s. If you don't say "oh, I get it!" when you get there, you probably did it wrong:

1. Lay the 11" (8" travel) cuff strip right side up on your work table.
2. Put the 2" accent strip on top of it, raw edges together on the top side.
3. Put a few pins to hold in place.
4. Lay the main body fabric on top, right side down, matching raw edges. Add more pins.
5. Reach underneath the body fabric to get the bottom raw edge of the cuff fabric. Scrunch the body fabric together so that you can bring that raw edge around and pin it to all the other raw edges. You should have the wrong side of the cuff fabric on the outside, with the accent and body fabric stuffed inside them.
6. ***Okay, did you get it?

Sew that seam through all five layers.

Pull the body fabric out of the cuff, turning the cuff "tube" right side out. Press cuff and accent flat.

Trim selvedge edges of body and cuff.

With wrong sides together, sew a SCANT 1/4 seam on the bottom and end of the pillowcase. Press seam. Trim any loose threads.

Turn pillowcase wrong side out. Sew a GENEROUS 1/4 seam on bottom and end, so that the first seam is enclosed. Turn right side out.

Wash before using!

OH GP are you here???

Now while the rest of us are gabbing, our GP is probably sewing up a storm in her beautiful sewing room.
It is hard to sew and type at the same time. I have an advantage tonight as I can not sew cause my sewing room is the guest room and our son is here for a visit. Doing the HAPPY DANCE!!! Don't get to see him only a couple times a year. I can put away the sewing for a few days of having our son here.

The silk soy egg nog was pretty good. It's light tasting; not as 'heavy' and creamy as regular egg nog.
A 1/2 cup has 90 calories; 2g fat; 0 fiber. That's either 1 or 2 points on WW.

I like it.

Kadie, where did you buy the sugar free apple and raspberry cordial.
That sounds yummy.

Wow!! I walk away for a little while and I come back to find 6 pages of discussion to catch up on. Well, I took DD#3's friend home and had had a cup of hot chocolate and a couple of cookies with DH. Now its back to cutting out sashing strips and start sewing stuff together.

Will have to try that silk soy egg nog. I like egg nog but the regular stuff is always so thick for me I can only drink a little bit.
