I am not satisfied with my medallion at all. Luv the design, hate the execution. I went to my friend's LQS yesterday where another friend teaches classes in Beginning Quilting and Applique for her to take a look at my piece. She gave me some instruction but I decided to keep the original medallion to work on because some pieces have to be taken off and appliqued back the proper way. Meanwhile, I have done the same exact medallion with a light fusible and it is ready to mail.

Well I tried taking a picture in the house with all the lights on - picture too dark. Then I tried taking a picture outside - overcast. This is the best I came up with.

Thank you but still unhappy with sending this as my first piece with the group. The piece is going to be called, of course, Moon Bathing. I think this quilt is going to be all about the borders because I want it to look adult-like. Meaning no children, sand buckets, etc. You can't tell by the picture but their are real shells on the beach and she has shells and beads in her hair. The piece is dark but not as dark as it appears in the pictures. I hope we can lighten it up with the borders a bit. I can't wait to see what you girls do with it - I know it will be fab-u-lous.

Make sure you include notes in your RR package about what you just said, DJ. That way people will have a better idea what direction you have in mind for this.

Here is a picture of my summer/beach RR. I should have this out in the mail to DJ tomorrow. :)
I tried to resize it but for some reason it wouldn't let me.

No worries, Denise. I'm sure you'll do just fine, the important thing is to have fun with it. :)
