What a great idea for a round robin! I like the log cabin design, this may be our next round robin method, each person adds a section of the log cabin in their choice of technique.

I am running a little behind on Nadine's (Bev's) round robin. I was doing some gardening last week and sprained my foot moving bags of mulch around the yard. Thank God I was using my wheelbarrow or it may have been a worse injury. I told DH I have to remember I am not that young anymore and need to make sure I have proper footwear for the activity that I am doing. I was wearing a pair of sandals instead of my gardening shoes, big mistake. I spent 3 days with my foot elevated and it is finally feeling a little better, still a little sore if I walk around too much. Difficult to get up and down the stairs to my sewing room.

Lynn, fortunately I was already finishing up for the day, but I still had plans for the weekend that I had to put off. With DH being on the mend from his hernia surgery he was not able to do anything either. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day and I can plan on doing some light work outside. I have been trying to work on one section of the yard at a time and I still need to spread out some compost and clean up and add mulch to one more flower bed in the front yard. Fire ants are terrible here once summer comes along, for the time being they are not too bad. I also normally do not go out to garden in my sandals I guess since it was such a beautiful day I got a little over anxious to get started. Lesson learned.

Lynn, sounds like there is alot of gardening going on in your neighborhood. We did the truck load of compost and topsoil last year since the drought the summer before had literally killed our backyard grass. We did a complete reseeding of the backyard and in three months had a beautiful bed of grass. This year we will do the fertilizer and just make sure we keep it watered regularly. My flower beds are another chore, I need to get some bedding plants to add to my perenials and hedges. It is still a little chilly in the mornings so I will wait another week or so before doing that.

Well, enough about gardening. The outdoors is calling and I am having a hard time not listening.LOL

Amie, Bev's should be on the way by saturday morning. Life has been crazy here at my house (not unusual,LOL)and I have gotten stuck on one of the design elements. I think I have finally decided what to do so watch for it sometime next week.

Okay, my medallion is taking just a little bit longer than I thought. I really do hate handwork - so applique is not me. However, I luv the look of it so I am putting forth a big effort on this block. Doesn't help either when your design keeps changing or you keep adding to it. LOL. This probably needs to be 2 different blocks.

Don't worry DJ, I haven't even started my madallion for this RR yet. I've been so caught up in trying to get DD's quilt top done that I've ignored everything else. I hope the top will be finished today.
