Lynn, that is beautiful! I have never tried anything like that but it certainly looks like something to add to my to do list. I love it!

An update from MN

Because Sewsew wants to be surprised, I'm not going to post pictures of her center with Amie's or my borders on.... but what I had planned to do with Ann's turned out just fine... which means I like it and happy that a hairbrained idea worked. I have some finishing touches to add to it and then it's off to Nadine2007 (bev) for the final round.

I am so amazed at the center block photo's I've seen here, mine looks pretty boring compared to all of yours!! I just haven't gotten into applique and much hand sewing, so I'm still just doing the basics.
Some day, when I have more time to be experimental--like when I retire--I'm going to attempt something like all of your blocks...

This sure has been a fun experience for me!!

Hello everyone!!!

I'm not part of the "spring round robin", but would have loved to. Since I've never made a round robin before, Lynn had asked me if I would love to make one with her. No need to say that I've accepted and we decided to make a "beach theme" round robin. I've been working on my medaillon for the last couple of days. I've used different types of fabrics, laces, even the hat is a small straw hat. No need to say I had real fun, pleasure to make it.

I've shown Lynn a picture of what I've done and she'd asked me to post it here so that I may share it with you!

LOVE & HUGS

Denise

I just love your 'beach theme' round robin. I like how you added lace for the waves. I'm a beach person - and you gave me some great ideas! Thanks, naniyosie
