I look for something that feels sturdy. Kona has great muslin.

I love Kona and it comes in so many colors! And it has a nicer feel to it than muslin.

I find it at Hancocks and Hobby Lobby. Hobby Lobby has the better price unless you have a coupon for Hancocks.

OakHill brand muslin sold at Hancock for $2.49/yd is nice and washes up beautifully! It is an all cotton muslin, but feels like a nice soft almost wrinkle free fabric after washing! Love it!

I would use Kona solid color instead of muslin. Just my preference though.

You cannot go wrong with the Kona. The feel of it surpasses the feel and look of regular muslin. But, now I prefer the Minkee for the children, DH loves it also. I also like the wide backing for regular quilts that are not going to be seen on that side. It is so easy to put together.

Hancocks of Paducah has a 200 thread count Muslin, I think it is made by Moda and it is really nice. I love it!

I'm going to have to check out that muslin. I thought they were all the same.

Glad you asked, as I am always in a quandary when looking at muslin for backings.

Thanks all of you for your input.
