These are so great! Everyone has done a good job making them. Mine will be in the mail in a couple of weeks. I want to give myself enough time to get a few done.
I think GP, you said the deadline was November 1? I hope that gives you enough time. Have you already started filling them? When our son was overseas they told us to get the holiday packages out 6 - 8 weeks before. He said they came quicker than that. As soon as you have a contact you should ask. I wish I lived near you so I could pitch in with the work. I love doing this!

Hi GP,
I forgot, I wanted to make some blue stockings for the Jewish soldiers. I will look for some appropriate fabric and whip up a few more stockings to send you. Thank you so much for organizing this whole thing! It makes me feel good to do something for our brave and wonderful young men and women in the service of our country!

Daisy just counted all the stockings and announced she has 108 total now! She got tired of me telling ya'll I'd get a total count and post it, so she just took matters in her own hands this a.m and did it for me. She's quite the efficient little gal! LOL!

Daisy just ran in with a new stocking count update: we received 12 more beauties today! Yahoo! The new total is 120 now! Thank you QIAD-Linda, the stockings are gorgeous and I'll post pics of them soon. Daisy says thank you for the cyber-bone, said it was fat-free and no calories and you know, she's a full-figured gal and has to watch her girlish figure!
