I wish we lived closer. My Dixie (Great Dane) would sure love someone big to play with. She doesn't have much fun with Daisy our Maltese. LOL She was just in here with her head on my shoulder as I was typing. Oh how she wants to be a lap dog. How about your gentle giant....big baby too???

I am so in LOVEEEEEEEE with this Moose. He is gorgeous. Sounds like an amazing guy too. You take care of yourself girl! Can you carry sm snack size packs pf nuts high in protein in your pocket at all times for when you get dizzy? I have the same problem & my Dr told me to never be without protein of some type. Hug the Moose for me.

OMG He is just so beautiful. Grammy65, forget Dixie playing with Moose, I'd love to play with him. Roll in the grass. I'm really a kid at heart.

what a good dog to have around, you are very lucky that he takes good care of you and helps you. Take care and start caring snacks in your pocket. Just in case.

I have a great dane as well. Her papered name is magical Lucy, but her home name is Maggie. She is a small boned fawn, 5 years old and dumb as a post, but she has the sweetest disposition, most of the time. She plays with the beagle and the kelpie, the highlight of her day is hunting bugs. She is a Velcro dog. She HAS to be touching a person at all times.

I have low blood pressure ( a diabetes complication) When I get up quickly it bottoms out especially when it is hot. (usually on the mower, too!) I am supposed to eat a lot of salt, which makes DH irritated since he has HIGH BP and should limit his.

Moose had to have eye surgery and that is why his eyes look sunken and the lids are weird. Now that he can see, we can tell he is crosseyed. I asked the vet how good his vision was and he told me it was good enough. He didn't need perfect vision, after all he isn't going to be driving a car! He also has some knee problems, but pain medication helps that. This is the dumb dog that likes to go creek stomping and to come home covered in cockle burrs and mud. Then wonder why he has to stay out on the porch till he gets hosed off! He is lying next to me right now, waiting for the sun to come up so he can go outside.
