Wow, calico, they look fantastic! I particularly like the blue one, the colors are awesome! I don't really know what the "stack and whack" means, but the result sure looks great!

What is "Stack and Whack" ? I love the look of them but can't for the life of me work out how you've pieced it. I may have to go google it.
Ok so I did the google and it seems you need repeat patterns on the fabric and a special triangle ruler is this correct?

Thanks for the nice compliments. I must admit that I HATED the book because it wasn't good on giving measurements....it just told you what to do. I usually like to know how big to cut things and instead, it most of the time wasn't clear to me. After making a couple I caught on and made up my own rules. The links that Oasis posted might be better than running out and buying the book. Inka also has shared that she has some websites that she uses to make the same type of block. Just need to fussy cut the pieces so they come out with the effect.

This may be a stupid question, but how did you keep from beheading the players. I have done a few stack & whacks, but afraid to do some with people. Would appreciate any input. Thanks

When I put my ruler to the fabric to cut the triangles, I kind of fussy cut enough to keep a head at one end of the triangle or the other...some did have only legs going in the circle....but kids don't care! Look closer at the top picture and glance at the block to the right....no heads....just legs. LOL

Calico, Oh my Gosh! I had heard of the Stack 'n' Whack method but never seen a finished product---these are spectacular! They look really hard, though...you did an amazing job getting the figures set just right.
I am now thinking of a Stack 'n' Whack in batiks, with strong contrasts. Yummy!
