I couldn't take it anymore!

Post by Hummingbird » Wed Aug 29, 2007 9:29 am

LOL - my sewing room was driving me crazy! I got talked into running my table through the middle of the room and as a result everything ended up piled around it. The table was tooooo big for that approach so I redid it. Here's the before and after. (I'm thinkin' that now I deserve to do some shopping tomorrow on the big QIAD sale, yes??)

Thanks! Yes - it feels MUCH better. Ready to get back to work now! That table runner on the table was in one of the piles. OOPS!

Sorry Evie - but one a day is my limit, lol.

This is the first house where I actualy have a "sewing room". Everywhere we lived before I just made do all the time. I love it!

The room looks great and the table runner is pretty - what is the pattern?? And, of course, you get to shop the QIAD sale this weekend!

I wish I could tell you the name of that pattern. As embarrassing as it is - I started this two years ago out of a book and I have no clue as to the name! I'm sorry!

Hummingbird, It's a major task cleaning and rearranging the sewing room isn't it! I did mine a couple months ago, but it sure gets trashed quickly--tho it must be a sign of a busy seamtress to have bits and pieces of fabric and thread every where.

Looks like you have more room now! It is such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment to get it all done! I'm mildly considering another move for my sewing room as it just feels kind of cramped...My nephew lives with me, but he will be moving out in a couple weeks and am considering taking over his little family room in my lower level. It's much bigger than the bedroom I am using now! I may have to sell my house soon (in the next year or two) so I'm debating whether to go to all the work of moving the sewing room AGAIN! Oh dear, decisions, decisions!

You room looks GREAT!

I was thinking about running a table down the middle of the room. So now I know not to do that. Your room looks great.
