We got a bunch of out 8th graders on a roof to watch at 5:00am here in IN! It was awesome-oranges and then red. At 6:00am, total darkness, we saw tons of stars but the full moon disappeared. By the way, there will be another in February, but probably hard to see if cloudy. There are all kinds of websites out there for star gazing. I saw Mars in Taurus last week-lined up with another red star so it looked like the bull had 3 red eyes. Cool stuff!

I need to start keeping up with what's going on around me. I was wondering why it seemed darker than usual this morning.

My Husband is out of town working and called me so I would not miss it. Funny how we both saw this amazing thing and were hunders of miles apart. Thanks for the pictures.

I got up at 4:00 am to catch the lunar eclipse. It was pretty. My trees and the neighbors blocked it though by the time I went in to wake my daughter to see it. The older kids were too sleepy to get up for me, they are teenagers, need I say more. Thanks for your photos. Maybe you could make a quilt with the idea, make it several 'windows' with the moon changing a bit more in each one. Just an idea to help you remember the moment.

Those are great pictures, thanks. The only time I get up at 4 in the morning is to tinkle (which I have to 2 or 3 times a night anyway), or the house is on fire. I am glad to see people out there with ambition.

I saw the begining of it but had to get some sleep. Fly out of Phoenix the next morning. Tried to sleep. Sad to be leaving but have things to do at home. Nice vacations. Katherine
