king-sized rag quilt

Post by Leetec » Sun Aug 19, 2007 9:30 am

This is a quilt I made for DH. Actually I made it for our bed but with him in mind. He's using it at the OH house.

That's a really interesting quilt - so glad it's here in Ohio.

I made DH help me decide which fabric to put where. Know how he picked? He felt each fabric and had me put the softest on his side! Since the back is the same as the front, and I usually steal the sheet from him, that is very important! :)

PS I stole the design from a quilt deisgners' framed wallhanging. Hers had one more heart, but it was to repreasnt her and her best friends. My 6" squares equals her 1/4 inch squares.

Love your quilt. It's cheerful, fun, colorful and I'll bet it's really snuggly too!

It was actually pretty easy to do, once I drew it out on graph paper. The hardest part was where 3 colors are in one square and that was only tricky because the block on the back of the quilt had to be mirrow image of the front. It took me quite a while to do it but only because of the size.

Thank you all for your kind comments. :)
