I keep coming back to stare at your quilt Maria. I just LOVE IT!!!!!!
I am really in awe. I need one like this!!!!!!! Have never heard of the little critters over here but they are soooooo cute! Just love it.

What kind of batting did you use? I never would have thought to use the gingham check wiht the polka dots but it is just awesome together.

ollie1shoe, the fabric is black with white polka dots. I didn't have a pattern, but will explain more about the process in another thread in a few minutes...:-) As for the little figures, they are called Moomins, and anyone who's interested can read more about them here:
http://www.moomin.fi/moomin.htm'>http:/ ... moomin.htm
Just click on the British flag for the web site to display English instead of Finnish...:-)

Cathy, thanks again for your very kind comments! It makes me so happy! It would be so fun if you also decided to do a similar quilt! I'd love to see how you'd make it. I used Hobbs 80-20 batting, which is the only quilt batting I can find here unless I want 100% polyester (and I don't).

Well, the baby is here! He is not even a day old yet, and I need to make a label for the quilt a.s.a.p.... Will use the Printed Treasures sheets for the first time, and am now playing around with different ideas on the computer. I'll do the name, weight, and hight thing that I saw someone else use here on the forum, but I can't really decide on the design of the label. If anyone has any brilliant ideas, I'd love to hear them...

I love your quilt!!!I printed it out so I can make one too. I know I can't use the noomins but I could use an embroidery animal or something in the middle.
