I just want to be able to do Queen & King sz quilts. The Gammil seems like very good machine and so does the A-1. I just don't know.

The Janome will be available with an 18" throat, and it does king size quilts. From what they said about the HQ16, it only goes to queen.

Is Janome getting into the longarm business? That's a pretty long arm for a domestic machine. Hadn't heard anything about it. Sounds interesting.

Don't forget to look at the NOLTING. they have 3 machine sizes to choose from and you can get frames from 10' to 12'depending on the size of the room you have. They have an excellent customer service group and they stay on the phone till you get the answer. As you can tell I have a NOLTING and love it.

Cathy, the Houston quilt show is only a couple months away. They have all kinds of machines set up so you can test drive them. You will be able to compare them all in one place. If you have the $$$ and the space, I say get a long arm, not a middie or one like mine. Go for the gusto!!! I can't wait to meet you in Houston. Do you know when you will be there? I'll be there on Friday and then I'm taking El's class on Saturday but we have a 2 hr. lunch break.

Well....wasn't going to say anything just yet but a LA has been ordered. Setup date is Nov. 10th & 11th. They will go over everything with us and make sure we have everything as it is supposed to be. We ordered the A-1 Quilter's Dream pkg. Has the hydraulic table, Circle Lord, power advance & all. Figured might as well get what we wanted at once. I am so excited but a bit scared too. LOL Ordering the flooring tomorrow afternoon. Gotta get on the ball now!

Cannot wait until the Houston Show. Bet I spend a bit more than $12.00 like I did at the Nashville Show. LOL We check in on Thursday and checkout Sunday. Just can't wait to meet you. Wish Gmaann was going to be there too. Looking forward to meeting as many people from here that is going, as I can.

OMG girl, you went for the gusto!! Woo hoo I'm so happy for you. I think you will be really happy with your A-1. Oh, gosh, you won't even get it until after Houston. Oh, gosh, you WILL be spending the bucks here in my town - you've got tons of quilts to make. WOO HOO!!
What's a circle lord? Oh, man, I am so happy for you!

With a Circle Lord you can do spirals, flowers, circles with it. It is kind of like a spirograph. I am not good at describing. LOL
