Girls
I only have 2 cups of coffee a day the rest of the time I drink oodles and oodles of water. In Summer it's icewater.
I wonder why you call them flAshes and we call them flUshes. Is that 'cause y'all are from America and I'm from down Under. LOL

LOL I have my own words for them and they aren't very nice. LOL My Mom calls the flushes too. I've heard them called flushes, flashes, personal summers, etc. & I still loathe the darned things. I woke up in the night last night and my tee-shirt was wet from the stupid things. It is sooooo miserable. Oh how I wish males had to suffer through them for 1 summer! And no---I am not mad at DH. LOL

I don't reckon men would last 1 DAY!!! They'd be on the floor curled into the fetal position crying "help me !!help me!!"

Ya'll have me laughing so hard! This discussion went from filling steam irons to hot flashes/flushes/night-sweats without skipping a beat! LOL!

Hey Queenpeach!

I AM a steam iron!! I'm hot and dangerous and will flatten anything that gets in my way.....especially when my setting is on HOT FLUSH!!!
Then I hiss and spit like the best steam iron you'll ever see. LOL

I have a Rowenta steam generated iron. I LOVE it. It was one of my best investments in my studio. It's ever so easy to fill - the tank comes right off for filling or I bellow for a child to come with a measuring cup of drinking water for it. That's what children are for - right?

Oh, Lordy, Cathy - personal summers. That's hilarious. I'd never heard it called that before.

LOL Cindyg I have those in ALL seasons. I hate it at Church at the end of the Service and people are going up to the alter and here I sit, with a very red face/neck and sweating like a pig. LOL I explained to the Pastor one night and he just rolled. LOL

"Personal summers" is good. I heard a lady say once "My inner child is playing with matches". Whatever we call it, it ain't no fun. How long does this nonsence last?
