bz

Okay where did you get the pattern to make those, and if you tell me you made it up yourself.... well, darn but you are talented!

My whole upstairs of my house is blue and yellow and if I started NOW I could make a TREE-ful of those in blue and yellow! Oh dear, who am kidding, maybe by 2015 I could get them done! LOL

Those are beautiful. Are they sewn or just folded fabric?

Although they look difficult to make, they are really simple, just time consuming. I am going to TRY to write out instructions, but do have a link to one website that has instructions. Basically, you take a 3" styrofoam ball and cover it with 44 squares, 2-1/2 inches each, which are folded and pinned in layers. I press my fabric and cut into 2-1/2 strips, and then the strips into 2-1/2 squares.

I will post some more pictures of how different they can look by using different fabrics, but I truly love the ones above.

Very pretty!! I tried those once and I just couldn't get them to look that nice....is there a method that works other than just hit and miss like I did? They would be such great gifts for quilting friends. Did you have a pattern to make them. Send me a link or a pm if you can give me some information. I like doing crafts when I am not quilting.
