Quilt Show Quilts

Post by maryq » Sun Jul 08, 2007 10:48 am

These are a few of the quilts I saw at the show when I was "up north"

That's what we call it when we go to cabin... we go "up north"

maryq.........think only us "Midwesterners" are the ones that use the term "up north"? I hear it on a daily basis here. Thanks for sharing the quilt pics. Looks like it was fun.

Living in the smack dab middle of the good ole USA in Kansas we go up north and down south, but we head east or west. Oh well, anyway I love that quilt with the flower pots

I love the quilts. Up north is a term that you hear all the time in the state of Michigan.

"Up North" to us is anything above the Mason-Dixon line! LOL!
Oh these quilts are so pretty! The flower pot one and the Peacock ones were my favorites. Thanks for sharing these with us!

Those are great quilts! I love the one with the peacock!

I don't think I've ever used the expression "up North" and haven't hearsd it much around here. Of course, I live within 5 miles of Lake Ontario so if I went to far north I'd be getting wet. It's a long swim to Canada across that lake!

Great quilts. I would love to make the turtle one as a kids quilt.

Maryq - thanks for sharing. I love the turtles and the flower pots. I bet both can be made using El's method of applique. To me up north is Dallas - just kidding. Up north to me is anything north of the Mason-Dixon. Not too much else to the south except the Rio Grande.
