Quilting Machine Brands
I was looking on the internet at different machines and I ran across a Bailey's Home Quilter that has a 13 or 15 inch bed space. The company is in Leicester, NY. Has anyone ever heard of this machine before?

Yes, you can learn alot about all the midarms in homequiltingsystems group on Yahoo. Several of the girl's(and a guy) have a Bailey on the B-line, Hinty, and Grace. Amie

SewSew - please just keep in mind that as you get to the middle and end of your quilt that all the bulk is rolled up on the take up bar and that takes away inches from the throat area. If you want to do a 12" block quilting pattern you will run out of throat space on a large quilt and won't be able to do the whole 12" pattern. Just a heads up.

I thought about the Bailey quilting machine before I ran across the Tin Lizzie 18" long arm that came with the frame and cruise control and bobbin winder and bought it instead. Feel it was a really good buy for the price. I've had it since Jan. and done about 10 quilts on it.

I have tried the Juki, the Brother and now I am using the Janome 6600. It is a great machine. No oiling (like my Berninas),smooth sewing, large area. I recommend going to the office supply store and getting in a tilted foot rest for the pedal and putting the door stops under the machine to tilt it toward you too. I had to put some flashy pink duct tape around the edges because it was not very smooth, but it is much better for my back. Just love the Janome, the two part foot makes for very smooth(no clanking)sewing. You can see the bobbin, so there is no suprises when you run out of thead. The tension does not need a lot of feed and caring for. I do a sample and I am off. I do my best free hand sewing with the Janome too. I'm a klutz and need the extra help the Janome offers.
