Thanks, Evie, for the suggestion. Here is my first block in my quilt. I still have to finish one more Christmas theme block for my second quilt.

Debbie, it's a stitch on my sewing machine. I think it's called a blanket stitch or it could be a feather stitch. Will get the book out later and see if it has a name. What I mainly did was look over all my stitches, then chose one and played with the stitch length and width to get what I wanted.

Hi Cindyg....is it too late to join this BOM? You just keep your blocks don't you....no swapping? Guess I can go back and look at the old thread for more info.

Can't seem to bring up the old post. Can you give me the rules on the BOM? Thanks much.

grammy65, it's not too late to join. We are finishing up the first month working our way through the book, one chapter at a time starting with the first chapter.

Just cut and paste this address to read the old posts.
http://www.quiltinaday.com/community/to ... topic=1593

Some are doing sampler one and some sampler two. You choose your own fabric and you get to keep your blocks. We're not swapping, just encouraging each other and pacing ourselves.

I'm doing two Sampler Ones. One in Thimbleberries with Kona "Bone" for the background (its a creamy color) and the other in Batiks with a soft blue batik for the background. I've got the go ahead from DH to order more stuff from this website, so I'm biting the bullet and ordering the fat quarter kit for Sampler One (It's on sale!) so that will make three quilts I will be doing.

Technically I'm the one heading this up, but I more than welcome any and all advice from others and sharing of ideas and helping each other with problems.

If you have any questions, please fee free to ask. You will deffinently need the book and I highly recommend the video.

Just give the word and I will add your name to the list.

Count me in. I think this is something I can handle right now, especially since I don't have to send anything to anyone. I'm trying to make this out of my stash, so have been in my room going through all my fabric. I found something for a border, wo will try and bring those colors in. Still need to get a background.

This should be fun, and a great way to get a quilt top completed.

Does it help to purchase the Egg Money fuseable interfacing?

Grammy I haven't even started the first block yet. I will get er done though. Even if I am behind. Great thing about this, is that we have time to get caught up if we get behind.
