Sunday Update!

YIPEE MORE CHRISTMAS BLOCKS!

Cindyb's arrived, well probably yesterday, but I Just found them today! Silly me, I never think to look in the front door! My brother stopped by my house this afternoon and when he came in the front door, he had my package!

Cindy's blocks are GREAT and she sure does have an eye for color! They all go so well together... there's some beautiful RED in there that sure put a twinkle in my eye!

Still haven't heard from those other gals on my list.. hope everybody is okay

Have not heard from:
Xenasmom
Georgiamom
carolehanks
barbquiltz
raggedypj
pinequilt

Unless any of these gals had to retire from the swap.. I just don't remember! Gosh I hate getting old and forgetful!

Wesign

Haven't pm'd the missing members yet, it's on my "to do" list! amoung a few other things! LOL

Will do that asap and then let you all know if I have all the blocks. I have to work this weekend, and because of that I have thursday off, but will be spending the day with Mom again as she was going to make a Dr. appt and I wanted to go with her! She's very nervouse about going out of her place with a portable oxygen tank, so I want to make sure she's okay.

BUT I am HOPING that I can get the block out to everybody by the 15th of August--I think that would be a fair cut off date!

Aug. 15th sounds more that fair to me. And your Mom is far more important than any block swap. Hope everything goes ok at the Dr.

Tuesday update:

No blocks in the mail today! :-(

I pm'd the gals I haven't heard from and haven't heard back from any of them... So I'm thinking this weekend I am going to start re-sorting blocks and getting them ready to go... that's the plan anyway--but you know how plans and all good intentions can get blown out of the water! Just have to finish photographing blocks from Cindyb and Towens and then can hopefully figure out how to copy to a CD for y'all! (I'm kind of liking that suthun thing--y'all)

Will post when all blocks are ready for the P.O.

You took pics of all of them? You are wonderful mary! I didn't think to take a picture of mine before I sent them.

Monday August 6th Update

Good Morning gals, Just wanted to give you the latest update on getting the Christmas blocks back out to all of you.
Spent yesterday afternoon sorting the blocks by design so each design is now in a pile and ready to be sorted by particpant.

Oh my gosh, they are all so very very pretty and I'm just dying to figure out what do with my share! I have a few errands to run before work this morning, and tomorrow right from work I have to go down to Mom's but Wednesday AM I'm HOPING to get them divvied up per person and ready for envelopes.

If all goes as planned I'm heading to cabin on Thurs right from work for a weekend of quiet sewing. So next week between the 13th & 16th or so I'm going to be taking envelopes to the post office!

Thank you all for your patience with me on getting these put together. And lest you think I've also forgotten the cookbook... I haven't!!! I'm ALMOST done!!!! Have about 4 recipes to add to it then I'll be backing it up and also putting on a flash drive to send to Dragonfly for her assistance!

Happy Monday!
Maryq
