cindyg, I just read your post about your string quilt in the fabric section and came here to check it out. I hadn't seen it before. I really like it a lot! And, a question about your leaf quilt: are the leaves cut out and stitched down leaving a raw edge or are the edges turned under? Your quilts are so nice!

GP - the leaves were raw edge and then I did a pretty heavy satin stitch to applique them down. If I knew then what I know now....namely El's way of applique... I would certainly have done it El's way. There's plenty on that quilt that I'd do differently but hind sight's 20/20. That one is my least favorite quilt.
