My HV Designers have presser feet that automatically raise just a bit when you stop stitching (a feature that can be turned off, if needed). I LOVE this feature - especially when I need to pivot.

qltsbme...
m&m's are forbidden! I'm in the process of losing weight, can't put myself at risk. I'm not much of a chocolate girl, but if it comes from a bakery, I'll have traction marks getting in the door first! LOL

M & Ms every night is because I sleep walk and if I have them next to me I sometimes stay in bed. A long boring story.

I hav been unavailable ladies and just checked the mail. The Universal Presser foot lifter attatches to you sewing machine's presser foot, by a cable and ran by a foot pedal. It has a platform for your sewing machine pedal to be postitioned next to the presser foot lifter pedal.
I found it at a quilt store on-line and it is patented by j.i.m. enterprises..... WELL WORTH THE &50.00!!!!

My favorite notion , except the usual, is a little piece of rubber shelf liner. I put it under the foot pedal and serger pedal to keep them from moving. I can't afford the ones they sell in the store and it works. I can sew all day and not worry about it moving.

I have very few quilting gadgets, just a regular sewing machine, a kitchen table, and obviously a cutting mat, rotary cutter and ruler, but... one thing that I couldn't live without is my 505 basting spray!!!

One of my most necessary and favorite "gadgets" is my stilleto. With arthritis hands my fingers are very stiff (a couple of them don't bend any more) I use a stilleto to guide my material. It' been a lifesaver for me.
