I was SO excited to see the Clover people at the quilt show yesterday. I got TWO new Clover seam rippers from them. They are usually $4.50 in the shops but they were selling them for $2.50. They make the best seam rippers!!!

Who makes the Universal presser foot lifter and where can you buy it? I have never seen that.

My home ec teacher of 1964, Mrs. Anderson, told us the most import tool to have is a seam ripper, because if you don't take out what you have done you are not a good sewer. Those words stuck with me, I would like to have a nickel for everyone I have ever owned. Every time I use it I think of Winnie Anderson, one of the sweetest teachers I ever had.

Just had to go down memory lane.

I know a lady that pulled a muscle in her thigh by using the knee lift for her presser foot. She was working on a quilt top all day that required lots of up and down. By the end of the day, the muscle was pulled and she couldn't use the lift for a week or two without pain.

My rotary cutter, matt and seam ripper which I use both for a ripper & stilleto. EQ6, 6X24" acrylic ruler, swing are lamps (must have good light) but can't do Ott lites just yet. And I really enjoy my magazines. I subscribe to one, my sister gave me another different magazine subscription for my birthday and a friends mom gave her another mag. for her birthday which she gives to me because of all things She Doesn't Quilt or sew. She actually hates sewing so isn't interested in quilting either. So I reap the benifit of her subscription because she doesn't want to tell her mother.

quiltlady57, Don't you need m&m's to quilt? I thought they were a standard. I tend towards also having pretzels for a crunch here and there - no grease, no mess - can't break the flow of progress.
