Thanks GQ - the machine on my quilting set up (Juki machine) has a speed control so that if I slow down, so does the machine. If I speed up, the machine speeds up. I love that feature.

that's my next big purchase - a sewing machine with a stitch regulator! My Wal-Mart machine is great - I love it, but just feel the need for a little more bells and whistles!

I am saving up for a long arm! And when I have enough, I am getting the A-1 eleite! I know I could get one that isnt a true longarm for much cheaper, but I know I just wouldnt be happy with it. I would love the APQS Millie but I would never be able to raise that kind of money. I have been looking into them for about 6 years now and I would love the APQS Millie but the next best thing in my oppion is the A-1.

I opened a savings account a few months ago just for my longarm and I am doing things to try to raise enough money to get one. As of last payday I now have $800 in the bank! It's a small ammount but you have to start somewhere.

Hi
I am a newbie to the community but I bought a used Gammill classic in Jan. I am the 3rd owner and its about 8 years old. I love it. It does not have a stitch regulator but now I don't need it now and I have gotten better at regulating my own. I have used a Q-sixteen and didn't like it. I think Gammill is great and it was in my price range for a used one. They are made in Mo. so go check them out.

I own a HQ sixteen and absolutely love it. The people are great to work with. They also have their own forum. I also have a stitch reg on mine. I have had no problems with my HQ. I know 3 other quilters who own the same machine and all love them. The are located in salt lake city.

I would love to have a Gammill and the room to set it up! if I had the rm i would borrow $$ to get it...But, I like the space in my sewing room..it would be cramped if i had a long arm..don't think it would work!!!:-(....but I am doing OK on quilting on my Singer....free motion...
