Re: Quilter Health
Quilters....It is easy to let time go by while quilting and not move around or do anything else on those days. It is good to get up at least every hour and stretch, walk around, do something physical for a time. I have been walking 1 mile in the evenings...it is helping. Drink plenty of water or tea and eat healthy snacks/meals. Have to stay healthy so we can quilt more!!

All the same issues probably apply to sitting in front of this computer for hours every night reading all the posts. I work all day, so by the time I get home, I am really behind.

Dairy Queen is having a sale on banana splits. Just makes me hungry thinking about it. HA

Yes, we need to take time to take care of ourselves. Last week the Dr told me I have Polymyalgia. I had never heard of this. I had alot of pain in my shoulder, neck and legs and extreamly tired. I am learning to do things in moderations, in-between naps.
I have to say that DQ banna split sounds good to me.

OH Good, now it's a good thing I have a short attention span and have to get up from sewing machine from time to time! Because I have this nasty smoking habit I can only sew for so long before I have to take a break, grab some coffee and a cig! Since I promised I would never smoke in my downstairs I have to come up stairs and walk around for while!
Lately I've had my cuttting table upstairs while sewing machine is down stairs. I find if I sit at sewing machine or computer for that matter for too long I get a very sore neck. Am thinking I might have to find a different chair for the sewing machine.
Well, time for me to get in gear and get ready for work.
Hope y'all have a great day!

I am impressed that many of you plan ahead for dinner on quilting days. I resort to 'canceling dinner due to lack of interest'. DQ banana splits would make a good dinner!

Like SewBug my ironing board is across the room from my machine. Since I am and avid pressing person I get up and down quite a bit during my sewing marathons.
As for supper, I use the crock-pot a lot. Not only is it ready when we are but the house smells really nice, my DH doesn't have to worry about starving.
I LOVE the chocolate-cherry Blizzard from DQ!!!!! It's right in the same parking lot as my Doctor so after having her tell me my weight and cholesterol is not real good, I soothe myself with a Blizzard on my way home. ;-(

I also have the ironing board across the room from the cutting area, so I get up and down a lot. I spend more time sitting on my b#%$ when I am on the forum-LOL!
