OT - I have had one wild day

Post by SewGlad » Sun Jul 29, 2007 2:28 pm

First of all I spent 9.5 hours at a hand gun schooling and shooting. First there were 6 hours of schooling (which I haven't done in a number of years) and then off to the range. Well, lets just say if someone enters the house and is 4'7" wide, moves slow, then stands still until I can find the gun I will have the guy nailed. It was the worst I have ever done with a gun. I think the instructor was ready to shoot me.

But, I got bad news about DS#1, he has Crohn's Disease and he has had a major flair-up. He will be alright, but he just feels miserable right now. The are running tests tonight. I don't mean to sound un-concerned, but the poor guy gets this from time to time. Please keep him in your prayers.

I did get some great news, I got the part in the play I tried out for. I am really thrilled. The director is someone I can really, really learn from. My DH will be listening to my Italian accentall day. I know it can drive him nuts, but he never, never complains. On a scale of 1 - 10 I got a 12. The director even moved his calendar around so that I can be off for a couple of days for my hip procedure. I told him I really learn lines well when I am on drugs.

Thanks for listening to my ups and downs. Your a great group of people.

Ruthie you crack me up. I would love to be able to see that play. What's it called?

Sorry to hear about your son. I've heard Crohn's Disease can be very painful. Hope he's doing better soon. Lori

The play is "Over the River and Through the Woods" it is about two elderly Italian couples trying to get their grandson married off. I don't know where the title comes it, but it is a hoot and a hollar. I love comedy, or when I do the serious plays I like the mind speeking character with spunk!!

Since I'm not 4'7" wide, then I should be safe in the Paducah fabric tent with you! LOL!

Will remember your son in my prayers and hope this flare-up doesn't last long.

And congrats on the part in the play!!! I suppose you'll need to practice your Italian accent on us, too, tee-hee!

Congratulations on landing the part!! So, will you be a true "Italian" person talking with your hands? I love the part where you learn your lines well while you're on drugs..........lol!!!

Hope everything is ok with your son.

congratulations on your 3000 post, I have been watching and wondered how long it was going to take you... Not long.. I come on several times a day just to watch you gals gab, guess I am addicted. I have been sewing the last few days and when I take my break after a little walk will sit down at the computer for a while, with a glass of water or iced tea. Must mind the health rules.
Oh by the way, I forgot to put Georgiapeach at the beginning...
