You are good to give your Mom some care and comfort. You will never regret missing time at the cabin in order to help your Mom!! God be with both of you!

You are in my prayers. I pray that God will give you grace and peace and that your mom's breathing will be easy and not so labored. Lord please help this dear woman to get air. In Christ name amen.

Your quilted prayers are around you. I lost my dad 8 years ago on July 5th. For some reason I had a hard time with it this year. It comes and goes. Mom passed away 3 years ago last March, actually Feb. 29th. Only my mom would die on leap year day.

I know how hard it to take care of them. It was just my sister, qltsbeme, and myself. She lives in MN so she was really good about not questioning what dicisions I made. If she didn't agree she didn't let me know or give me grief. Sometimes it is easier when there are only a couple of siblings. Less chance for squabbles.

I hope you have a comforting weekend and a good visit with your mother.

Ruthie

I will certainly be praying for you and the help your Mom needs. I lost my Mom 13 years ago and miss her often. She was a quilter and taught me how to sew...so many precious memories! May God bless you with His peace and direct you in decisions to be made. Amen

Maryq, this is a tough time. It hurts so much to see someone we love suffer. My prayers will be added to the many others from all over the country and prayers are powerful!

I pray for you and your family. My Mom also has COPD, and still insists on smoking....wants to go out her own way, I guess, but it is so difficult to watch.

Mary, My prayers go out to you. Both of my parents passed on relatively quickly and without suffering. My MIL has just recently been diagnosed with early stages of Altheimers and it has taught me to appreciate how little I had to watch my parents suffer.

I can appreciate how much you enjoy your cabin, but that will always be there. You need to be with your mother at this time for your own piece of mind.

Please know that all our prayers are with you.

Barb
