SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, Feb 17th
Hi there!
No internet last night or this morning but I have it tonite. Most RV parks now have it, but it costs an extra $2 to $4 to hook up to it. Bill either does it or he doesn't. Yesterday, he didn't. Multiply that by the number of days we're on the road and it gets expensive. But tonite we're in Bakersfield at Orange Grove RV park and he did pay for it so I'm posting early for tomorrow.
We're watching weather for tomorrow as we go up through CA. We're hoping to get into Oregon without hitting to much bad weather. Please keep your fingers crossed.
Lori, I hope you can figure out things so your dad will be well covered when you travel.
Carol, I saw that - 270 mi in 4 hr. Oops! We actually went 261 miles yesterday in about 5 hours. We average about 50-55 miles per hour at the end of the day.
Becca - baby is getting closer! I bet everyone is getting excited!
Tina - when is the auction? Did it happen yet?
Tomorrow night we're having whatever is in the biggest package in our little freezer. I think it's chicken stew. Whatever it is, we're having that.
If you dont' see me on Sunday, we'll be having chili and cornbread from the freezer. What will you be having?

Maryz - That is what I thought! Two hundred Seventy miles would take at least five hours. Well now you have to get home if you are almost out of cat treats! Hope you toilet is at least functional. Hope you get some oranges. Our are delicious!
Tonight I had a bowl of garden vegetable soup and piece of bread with peanut butter. I took my quilts over to the quilt show. It is a Saturday-Sunday show and I think the rain will wait until Sunday night to start. I will need to be there early as I must deliver the aprons. I am looking forward to seeing the show!

Mary, the auction was last night, the pecan pie went for $575! Jazmyne was very happy! This fund raiser is how they pay for their trips for competition.
Safe travels.
I'll be back tomorrow hopefully.

Tina, that's great they made good money on the pies.
That picture is so adorable. I love it.
Carol, hope your quilt show is a success.
Mary, I sure hope you get home before the weather gets too bad.
Don't know what's for dinner yet, but I'm sure we will not starve.

Tina, that's fabulous! $575! How much did the event bring in over all? And what a great picture! It says so much!
Lori, are you having fun at your mini retreat? You seem to have fun where ever you go! Hope you find the fabric you need.
Carol, we got 3 oranges. There aren't many left this late in the season. We only got about 3 going east last Nov 5th/6th-ish because we were so early in the season. lol! Where is your quilt show being held? Occasionally we come across a guild quilt show in a chuch or senion center or even spread around a small town. I really enjoy those kinds of shows the best. We can take the time to really look at each quilt, study the information card, and admire. Even Bill likes those shows.
Well, we went to bed about 7:30 last night and slept well. But woke up at 3:00. After coffee and a granola bar, we're going to hit the road about 4:00am. We have a long day ahead of us - for us. 400 miles. We think we'll stay tonite at Rolling Hills Casino RV park in Corning. Never been there before. We prefer travel days to be under 300 miles but with the weather going down the drain, literally, we got to git!
And now I need to take our chicken stew out of the freezer to start thawing. Have a tasty supper!

Hi all
I've been busy all day, got laundry done and made macarons to take to Maria tomorrow, she may share LOL she loves them and I didn't get them made at Christmas so I told her next trip over to visit I'll make them and I didn't have time last time. We're getting new tires tomorrow morning and then going visiting.
I love that pic too.
I forgot to ask Jazmyne how much they raised for their fundraiser, I'll try to remember next time. She had 4H this morning. She's going to the Sadie Hawkins Dance tonight. She works tomorrow.
Becca, that's great she's carried full term
I forgot to lay anything out for supper so Frankie found a little steak we're going to split and we have salad..... we may split a baked potato too.

Hi Everyone,
Quilt show was wonderful. We had a great turnout, and the quilts are just beautiful.
Maryz - There are about 150 quilts at our show this year. It is held in the Torrance Cultural Center. It is a lovely facility. There is also a vendor mall and food available.
Becca - Thanks for the well wishes. Glad to hear the baby will make almost full term. Every day makes a difference, and we are all wishing the best for baby and mom.
Tina - The pictures were wonderful. Thanks for sharing. I liked the one of Gr-Grandpa and child. That picture will be treasured.
I haven't taken any pictures yet but will tomorrow. I haven't purchased anything yet either! I looked at quilts though.
Dinner tonight was after evening Mass so it was Scrambled Eggs with sausage, peppers and onion, fresh orange, scone, hashbrowns. We both enjoyed it.
Goodnight!
